Kesiah is the founder/owner of OffBeet Compost and has spent the past 7 years working in the sustainable agriculture and food justice realm. Raised in a household with a large garden, she has grown up valuing food and its unifying nature. Prior to starting OffBeet Compost, she was the Community Program Manager at Mill City Grows, a food access organization in Lowell, MA and she also worked at The Food Project as Assistant Grower which deeply influenced her path. Kesiah has found HOME in the Merrimack Valley Region, where she has resided for the past few years and launched OffBeet Compost She is also currently in pursuit of a Masters in Public Policy at Tufts University.
Derrick is a visual artist at heart, but was "volun-told" to become the Market Manager of OffBeet Compost. Born and raised in Springfield, MA, Derrick's interests were art, sneakers, and Saturday morning cartoons, and only recently he has started to think about environmental justice and greener communities. As a former art teacher, Derrick is passionate about being part of the community and educating others in the process. From The South to New England, NaBeela is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham & holds a BA in Visual Advertising. She is a proud small business owner and enjoys helping other businesses and non-profits succeed by crafting unique branding, outreach, and marketing strategies.
When she’s not immersed in community initiatives or counting characters, you can find her exploring The Greater Boston & New Hampshire area, cooking Southern staples, writing poetry, or taking photographs.
